This fully illustrated chronicle (70 pages) inspired by the documented events behind the Sierra Sounds recordings.
Rather than simply retelling the story, we wanted to create a different way to experience it.
Readers can follow the investigation, search for optional hidden clues, and use QR codes throughout the book to hear selections from the actual recordings captured in the Sierra Nevada between 1971 and 1976.
Originally developed with younger readers in mind, the project evolved into something families, educators, longtime Sierra Sounds followers, and anyone interested in unexplained history can explore together. The objective isn’t to tell readers what to believe. It’s to encourage readers to listen, examine the evidence, ask questions, and reach their own conclusions.
This is Book One, and part of a larger effort by Sierra Sounds Media to preserve Ron Morehead’s legacy while supporting the people who still like to go outside or at least use their mind.
