Biblical Giants | Amalek
Monday, August 17, 2015We can learn the names of individual giants mentioned in the bible by referencing the known tribe of Giants. This series that will introduce us to each of the 22 individually named giants referenced in the Bible. According to the bible these giants once walked the earth and interacted with humans. Are they still around? Do they still interact with humans? Do we know them today as Sasquatch and Bigfoot.
When bigfooters share potential references of Bigfoot in the bibl, a constant candidate is Esua (mostly because of his description at birth). In Genesis 25:25 Esau’s birth is described as, “Now the first came forth, red all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau.”
For many this seems to be too obscure of references. When you include the further genealogy of Esau, specifically references to his grandson Amalek, we see further references of bigfoot-like characteristics.
According to the Book of Genesis and 1 Chronicles, Amalek was the son of Eliphaz and the concubine Timna. Timna was a Horite and sister of Lotan. Amalek appears in the genealogy of Esau (Gen. 36:12; 1 Chr. 1:36) who was the chief of an Edomite tribe (Gen. 36:16). Amalek is described as the “chief of Amalek” in Genesis 36:16, in which it is surmised that he ruled a clan or territory named after him.
