To Protect or Not to Protect
Should that be the question?
By Ron Morehead

According to the Department of Forestry there are between 25,000 and 30,000 black bears in Oregon. In 2010 there were 426 bears killed, most in western Oregon. As we know, on occasion a person is killed while hunting and numerous humans are accidentally killed by motorists as well. Although more and more Bigfoot sightings occur each year, nobody knows how many actually exist, but to date not one has been brought in and identified by science. From my personal observations and from other reports small ones are being seen. This evidence would suggest that they must be pro-creating with an adequate gene pool. It seems by now that the law of average would dictate that one of these creatures would have been mistakenly or purposely killed, or found dead from natural causes. “This is a random event dictated by the laws of mathematics embedded in classical physics. No matter how smart the animal, there is a defined probability that it will accidentally step in front of a moving vehicle. However, it appears as if Bigfoot violates that “law”.” (Paul G. Johnson, PhD, 2007)

We need to be asking ourselves, “How?” And why has one not been found? How do they beat the law of average?

If Bigfoot is not natural, (i.e., violates the laws of classical physics), then there are only two other choices. (1) It must be “supernatural,” i.e., it doesn’t have to observe any rules, or (2) it obeys the laws of another type of physics (Paul G. Johnson, PhD, 2007).

If we are to understand these creatures we might want to consider moving past Newtonian physics…the thinking that everything is as it seems, and fast-forward into the realm of quantum physics to even begin to understand what we may be dealing with in regards to Bigfoot. Most classical scientists (and some researchers) are in a three dimensional box…they’re able to measure the apple’s distance at each interval as it falls from the tree. If we consider quantum properties, the apple is seen on the tree and then it appears instantly on the ground…no in-between stuff. Quantum properties occur at the subatomic level…but doesn’t everything? According to the “New Science” magazine “The quantum world is about to get bigger.” Could Bigfoot use an attribute that is currently not being used by us due to our lack of understanding?

As I’ve said many times, “If the road you’re on isn’t getting you where you want to go, you need to change roads.” I believe there is a bigger picture here that should be explored and the answer could lie in the science that was established by Einstein, Heisenberg, Born and other scientists almost 100 years ago, e.g., quantum physics. Before you discredit this idea, or call me a paranormal radical, I encourage each reader to look into this science. If Bigfoot is able to access that which we don’t yet thoroughly understand, it would answer a lot of questions.
Bigfoot/Sasquatch will not be protected until they have been scientifically established as an existing species. Personally, I’m a researcher, not a killer, and have been in that camp since first encountering them over 40 years ago. Concerning ourselves with whether or not they need protection, at this time, is putting the cart before the horse and is moot.
